All donations made to Helping Haiti's Children will be used in providing direct care for Haitian children in need. No money donated will be used for travel or other personal expenses.
OUR ORGANIZATION
Helping Haiti's Children is a licensed, tax exempt nonprofit focused exclusively on providing food, shelter, medical care, physical therapy, and education for orphanages and special needs children in the earthquake and COVID ravaged Port-au Prince area. We fund two orphans, Melissa's Hope and Hope for the Children, and serve over 100 children from newborn to 18 years old (some stay longer!), many with disabilities including cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus.
Helping Haiti's Children was formed in May 2010 by several colleagues in Melbourne, Florida. We are focused exclusively on caring for the needs for the needs of the weakest of the weak, the orphan children of earthquake ravaged Haiti. These children range from ages 1 to 14 and have nothing. No home. No food. No family. No hope. Nothing.

How We Got Involved
In 1980, three colleagues, Mary Ellen Sorensen, Bob Quinn and Tim Muth of Holy Name of Jesus Parish formed Helping Haiti’s Children, Inc. to provide financial and material support to two orphanages in Haiti currently.

One orphanage, Melissa’s Hope specializes in the care of physically challenged orphans suffering from hydrocephalus (fluid on the brain), cerebral palsy, or HIV/AIDS. The other orphanage supported in Hope for the Children a larger orphanage of near 100 children ranging from newborn to 18 years of age.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Helping Haiti’s Children provides these orphanages in Haiti with food, school supplies, physical therapy, nutrition, counseling, toys, books, sporting equipment, seasonal parties, pays teacher and "Mamma” caregiver salaries and the like, all essential to nurturing the weakest of the weak in Haiti and helping their children thrive.
OUR PROMISE
All monies donated are used to provide direct care for Haitian children in need. NO donated monies are ever used for any administrative, travel or other overhead expenses. Everything goes to the children of Haiti. No exceptions!
